On a hot Thursday in Durban, Lerato looks at her cracked smartphone screen as her minibus crawls through traffic. She is not browsing any social media feed, but instead looking at the YesPlay sports page, which is keeping her focused. All the events are sorted by kick-off time, allowing her to quickly see all the ongoing events even during her short lunch break. There are around forty football games, as well as an interesting table-tennis rally sneaking in between.
YesPlay’s betting menu keeps things simple: each match shows three important things, winner, total, and handicap. The odds are always changing, so Lerato refreshes the page often. Yesterday she was watching a rugby game and saw the underdog’s odds go from 2.10 to 2.45 while the driver was trying to find change. That extra boost in winnings paid for her next loaf of bread.
Baseball may not be that popular in South Africa, but the Major League games fit perfectly into South African evenings this May. The Yankees are around 1.50 against Tampa, and the Rockies are at 3.20. Anyone who’s curious can bet on baseball without needing to understand difficult American stats because the same three options are available, who wins, how many runs will be scored, and whether a team can stay within a run-and-a-half of each other.
There’s nothing that crowds love more than football, and YesPlay knows it. On the site you can find over twenty live matches with real-time numbers. Those matches range from local derbies, and continental ties all the way to matches between European giants. You can also find Tennis, which is a fun, quick way to make some money while placing small in-play bets.
Making your budget go further is easier than you think if you take a look at a few promos. If you’re interested, check out https://yesplay.bet/blog/posts/sports-betting-bonuses, where you can learn about deposit matches, free bets, and other important rules. One player managed to double their money by meeting the minimum stake, and then walking away after the win.
She never chases losses; a single successful slip is enough. When the minibus finally reaches the beachfront, her phone buzzes with confirmation: the late tennis underdog covered the handicap, paying for tomorrow’s taxi and a little extra airtime.
